As far back as I can remember, I have always loved wood. Its textures, colours, burrs and aromas never fail to stimulate and my passion for designing in wood has been a natural development of my work in interior design.
I always start with the location and use of the required piece of furniture, then the type of wood. Often walnut or maple burr, some of the exotic woods only recently available from Japan have quickly become firm favourites, too.
Amongst the pieces I have been commissioned to design are dining tables, chairs, built-in bookcases, desks and doors, all crafted into being by the superb cabinet makers with whom I have now worked for several years.
